We began Novx Systems after extensive customer and industry veteran input which has been ongoing at every stage of our development. Novx Systems determined early on that the high operating costs of maintaining a network, particularly those costs associated with reconfiguring and provisioning, had created a demand-pull for fully reconfigurable wavelength switching. We also determined that due to unpredictable node traffic in Metro Networks the ability to offer upgradeability without disrupting existing service is paramount to managing combined operating and capital expenditures at the carrier level. Our mission at Novx Systems is to bring scalable reconfigurability to optical networks and to do so at a cost that is below that of fixed alternatives. This vision has driven the development process for The ROADX family of products.
